Full kits – Our full kit option is cut as yardage. It will arrive in one package and is not divided by months.
BOM kits – these kits are cut and separated for each month of the program. You will be sent one each month until the end of the program.
Registration - It is understood that when you register for a Block of the Month program you are registering for the entire program and that you agree to participate for the duration.
Credit card - We require credit card information on file and the programs will be charged automatically the week prior to the last Saturday of the month as per program.
Please ensure you have sufficient funds on your credit card. A $25 NSF fee will be charged for declined payments.
Also, please note – while we do accept PayPal for the Registration Fee, we will need a credit card on file for the duration of the program.
Please remember to update us with any new credit card information if your card has expired or has been replaced.
Start-up Fee - All programs have a $25 start-up fee: this is non-refundable.
Sale exclusions – Block of the month programs are excluded from any sales or discounts
Pick up or Mail delivery - All programs are available for pick up in the store beginning the last Saturday of the month. Mail orders will be sent the next business day, with a monthly shipping charge of $11.25 ($19.99 for US orders) for each kit. In December, you can pick up your kit before Christmas, starting on the 19th. Please note, we will be charging your credit card for the BOM prior to the 19th (for December only).
Verify - We ask that you check the components in each installment when they arrive, even if you are not working on the project. If there is a problem or for some reason you do not receive your next expected block, please contact us. We cannot be responsible for missing blocks if you wait to notify us.
Insurance Bundles - Upon sign up, we offer an insurance bundle at an additional cost. This bundle can be used any way you like, such as to enhance your project or for extra fabric just in case you need it. Bundles will include one (1) Fat Eighth (9” x 21”) or one Fat Quarter (18” x 21”) of each fabric used in your BOM program. Costs vary and are listed with each program. When you sign up, please indicate in the comments box if you would like us to include one with your program. Your bundle will be charged to your credit card with your first block.
NOTE: Bundles are limited in number and should be ordered either when you register for the program or within the first month from the Lori’s Country Cottage start date of the program.
NOTE: We cut all kits in advance. This ensures your fabrics will be from the same shipment. When you sign up for our BOM programs, your program is assigned to you, with your name on it. We hold it in our kit room until it is time to send it to you each month.
There may be fabric substitutions, but the fabrics will remain as close to the on-line photos as possible. Each program includes the instructions and all the fabrics that you will need to complete the top, including the binding. Backing and batting can be ordered to co-ordinate with your kit. Pre-Fused Block of the Month Programs: Pre-cut, pre-fused kits are the latest and greatest in the quilting industry! Customers love these kits because they are ALL fun and no work! Quality fabric and fusible are featured in the kits so thy are sure to create lovely heirlooms, Once fused, the quilter can decide on the preferred finishing technique, from satin stitch, blanket stitch, straight stitch or if leaving on a wall hanging, don’t stitch at all!

For U.S. and International customers
We are required by Alberta Provincial Law to charge a sales tax of 5% on postal services
including our Block of the Month Programs. All prices are in Canadian dollars. All US and International packages are shipped via Canada Post. We understand that packages can be delayed going through the borders and customs, we do our best to comply with all requirements to ensure your package arrives at your mailbox in a timely manner.
Exceptions:
Extra shipping charges may be applied to order which contain batting due to the bulk of the packaging.This will only apply if the actual shipping charges reflect the higher rate.
For remote areas of Canada and the US where shipping is much higher, shipping charges will be adjusted.
