Build Skills, Creativity & Confidence

This Junior Quilt Camp is designed for students ages 11–18 who have some basic sewing experience (they should be able to thread their own machine and wind a bobbin). It’s the perfect opportunity for your child or grandchild to learn how a quilt comes together—from start to finish.

Taught by Laurie F., a retired school teacher, this class is led with patience, encouragement, and a true love of teaching. Students will learn how to:

  • Read a quilt pattern
  • Safely cut fabric
  • Piece quilt blocks
  • Trim and assemble their project

Students will make the Lindina quilt by Villa Rosa Designs, gaining valuable quilting skills along the way. The first three days are half-days to ease into learning, while the final two longer days give students the time they need to complete their quilt. Fast stitchers may even get started on a midi bag!
A fun, creative, and confidence-building experience—plus, all learning takes place in a comfortable, air-conditioned classroom.

Please note: Sewing machines and tools are not provided. Please refer to Class Policies for required tools and materials.
