Enjoy a fun-filled weekend dedicated to quilting, sewing, and machine embroidery. The schedule is simple—your time is your own! Sew whenever you like, break for our set meal times, and join in on optional small projects or demos if we decide to do one.

It’s all about stitching, relaxing, and connecting in the way that feels best for you!

Our rooms are small, cozy, and comfortable. Each one includes a desk with a lamp and a private bathroom with a shower and sink. Fresh towels, blankets, and sheets are provided for your stay. Please note that hair dryers, bathrobes, and toiletries (such as shampoo) are not included, so be sure to bring your own.

Single rooms feature a single bed and a recliner, while double rooms offer one double bed and one single bed.

Our retreat kicks off Friday at 10:00 AM and wraps up Sunday at 4:00 PM. The studio will be open 24 hours a day, so you can sew, quilt, or embroider whenever inspiration strikes—day or night!

We’ll be sewing together in a spacious gymnasium, and each guest will have their own table to spread out and get comfortable. Once you unpack your sewing belongings, you can leave them at your table throughout the weekend.
Irons and ironing boards will be set up for small groups to share, so there’s always a spot nearby when you need a press. For safety (and because of the wiring in the gym), we ask that mini-irons not be used at individual tables.

You’ll be sewing alongside some of the most amazing people in the world! We’ll seat you with your friends—just tell us all about them in the questionnaire we’ll send out. If you’re registering on your own, don’t worry—we’ll make sure you join a table with other fantastic quilters.

We’ll enjoy 7 delicious buffet-style meals in the dining room throughout the weekend. Special dietary needs are happily accommodated—before the retreat we’ll send out a short questionnaire to gather your preferences.

You bet! Our retreat centre is well stocked with Keurig coffee makers, tea, hot and cold water, microwaves, and fridges—both in the sewing studio and on each floor. Please bring your favourite Keurig pods and any snacks you’d like to enjoy. A cup with a lid is a great idea to help prevent spills.

Many of us like to bring snacks to share—dishes and napkins are provided.

If you’d like to bring alcoholic beverages, please note that the Alberta Liquor Control Board requires us to have a permit and to attach receipts for all beverages consumed. Be sure to keep the receipt from your purchase, as we cannot accept drinks brought from home without proof of purchase.

Bring enough projects to keep you happily sewing all weekend long!

Please pack an extension cord and a power bar for your sewing station. In the questionnaire, we’ll ask for volunteers to bring irons, ironing boards, and wool pressing mats for our six shared ironing stations.
