This course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn to quilt or for those that need a refresher. A list of the required supplies is provided at ORT. In the first 3 classes, students learn to read a pattern, learn rotary cutting, block construction, quilt assembly and how to properly attach borders. In the 4th class, students sew binding samples with the traditional hand sewn binding, the 2 color machine sewn binding and a sample learning to join binding ends on a quilt.
New to this course is the addition of a 5th class in which students will attach the binding to their actual quilt. This class is scheduled 2-3 weeks after the quilt top is complete, allowing time for the quilting to be done. Some homework is required.
